Description

Them Games is a French game development studio. We created this studio because we had things we wanted to do and share with the world, and wanted a name and a place to do so. You will find some of these things on this very website: games, hacks, little apps, bigger apps, drawings; small things that are more than the sum of their parts.

Our general philosophy is to put as much care and love into what we produce as we can, while still being able to release them at some point. This means that far from flawless, these games, these apps are meaningful to us in a way that we hope they will be to others. If through games, through this incomplete yet beautiful medium, we can convey enough for you to care, or have an aesthetic experience, we will have achieved our goal in the creation of Them Games and you should head to our forum, whether it be to tease us about how bad we did or tell us how you felt.

For now, there are three of us, currently on Yore: Slumbertime Fables:

Oscar Barda does the game designing of stuff around here and draws things.
Simon Albou is our programmer, he does magic and types incredibly fast, we should take a Vine of that one day.
Lisa Schaeffer takes care of the rest, communication, marketing, eating, sleeping... You name it, she'll do it.

History

We met…

Within the first week of meeting each other, game ideas were already bouncing back and forth. When the occasion arose, we made a museum exhibition game called the inFiné game in a few weeks. Its amazing reception pushed us to publish it in a reworked version. To that end, we founded Them Games.

As a company, Them Games is the umbrella under which we conduct consulting work and lectures, games curation and exhibition, game development and publishing, street art and street installations and many other activities, just because we love doing crazy things together.
